NCIDQ Exam Review
NCIDQ exam review sessions are available for individuals and/or groups preparing for the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualifications) exams. With the help of a highly qualified NCIDQ Exam Champion and Ambassador, each participant will be guided through a systematic review that covers all the material essential to pass the exams. You will learn how to effectively prepare and gain knowledge and confidence. These study sessions are administered in 3 parts:
The “Interior Design Fundamentals Exam review” addresses building systems, construction standards, design theory and application, human behavior and the design environment, programming, sustainability, site analysis, FF&E, construction drawings, schedules and specifications, communication methods and techniques.
The “Interior Design Professional Exam review” focuses on building systems, codes, professional practice and project coordination. Knowledge and skill in interior design document and contract administration, lighting, selection, specification, use and care of FF&E and the roles of related design professionals are reviewed.
During the “Practicum Exan Review” sessions mock exams will be offered for the 3 parts of the practicum exam. A series of exercises will address topics such as space planning, lighting design, egress, life safety, restroom design, universal design, systems integration and millwork design.
